Boss Lady Spotlight: Jacqueline Au

Episode Summary

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce you to Jacqueline Au. Au is the founder of The LOFT Bridal, an award-winning luxury bridal boutique in Hong Kong. Jacqueline Au is a fashion buyer, entrepreneur, and brand consultant. After stints in powerhouse designer brands, Givenchy, Celine & Lane Crawford, as buyer, Au made her name in retail as founder & creative director of The LOFT Bridal, an award-winning luxury bridal boutique in the heart of Hong Kong. The LSE alumnus founded The LOFT Bridal with the intention of bringing a sharply curated edit for discerning, style-savvy brides who will go to any length to make a fashion statement down the aisle. Au identified this vast chasm in the market while she herself was searching for her own wedding gown back in 2015 (she wore a Giambattista Valli Couture number down the aisle in the end as featured in Vogue Australia). Au has a proven track record as an intuitive buyer with a keen eye for detail. She was one of the first to unveil then-emerging brands Maticevski, Ellery and Rosie Assoulin; she was also an early champion of bridal’s new guards, including Alex Perry and Danielle Frankel. Her store quickly became renowned for its refined, high-fashion approach to bridal wear, recognized by prestigious fashion tomes such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Monocle and several other acclaimed international publications. Her vision in creating The LOFT was not only to provide a fresh spin on bridal with an editorial perspective, but to elevate the customer experience, offering fashion expertise and personalized service to help brides create their very own tales of love down the aisle.
